Our company is a metamorphosis of our past, present and future in the hospitality industry. Originally known as GAP Management, and then as Ocean Hospitalities, Inc. (OHI), the name Great American Hotel Group (GRAM) was ultimately born from our earliest days as a company, and is the perfect moniker as we embark upon our future.
Even though our name has changed, our technology has kept pace with the times and our underlying operating fundamentals and ethical principles, originating in 1986, remain the same. Our team is solid – most of our key leadership has been with our company for more than 10 years… some more than 20 years.
Our mission is simple:
- Provide first class services and meet/exceed expectations of guests and our clients.
- Maintain growth patterns to meet/exceed financial requirements in order to achieve profit.
- Create an atmosphere for our associates to achieve personal and professional goals in a clean, productive and safe work environment.
- Grow assets for our owners.
Doug Greene
June 6, 1947 – December 6, 2008
Doug Greene was not only one of the founding partners of our company, but was a respected and savvy hospitality professional. His energetic and charismatic personality was known to all and respected in all facets of the business. Doug was especially remembered for finding the deal and working tirelessly to make things happen. A friend first, and a colleague to all, Doug Greene was the epitome of hospitality and we honor his achievements by carrying on in his memory.

Tom Walsh
October 8, 1929 – October 6, 2018
Tom Walsh was a good friend to our company. He was a part of us from the very beginning and helped Great American Hotel Group (nee Ocean Hospitalities, Inc.) at our very roots. Our senior staff (Dave Akridge, Rob Greene, Gabrielle Smith, Suzanne Baele and Linda Komornik) knew Tom, respected, and aspired to his brand of hospitality, loyalty, and passion. He will be missed and we honor his legacy. Our condolences to his family, friends, and Ocean Properties, Ltd. Tom will be missed by all of us.
